Step By Step Directions for completing the online application

Application Timeline

September 11th and September 18th	QMS will host a specialty center information sessions for all 8th graders during our extended Advisory period (Advisory classes will be split up into two groups over the two days)
September 23rd	The Parent Authorization and Waiver Form opens up in PowerSchool - this form is required before students can start the application. The form is located under the menu on the left ("Specialty Center" star icon). Once the permission form has been submitted, the student will have access to the application within 24 hours after the application opens on September 30th. The final day to submit this permission form is November 8, 2024 @ 4:00 PM.
September 21st	Information Session - 10:00 AM @ Highland Springs High School
September 26th	Information Session - 6:00 PM @ Tucker High School
September 30th	Application will be available online Link to the online application
November 15th	Application deadline for all students, by 11:59 PM.
December 6th	Writing test will be completed by applicants this week (if applicable)
December 9th	Math test will be completed by applicants this week (if applicable)
January 11th	Entrance exam for the Center for Spanish Language and Global Citizenship, and auditions for the Center for the Arts applicants
February 14th	Students provided online access to check application status/acceptance @ 4:30 PM - Link to directions
February 21st	Deadline for applicants to declare intent or accept waitlist offers online (by 11:59 PM). Students may accept one center and one waitlist center, or students may accept two waitlist offers if they did not receive an offer.
March 28th	All students being offered a spot from the waitlist must inform specialty center chair of their intent to accept an offer of admission by 4:30 PM.
