Application Timeline

September 13th	QMS will host a specialty center information session for all 8th graders during our extended Advisory period
September 25th	The Parent Authorization and Waiver Form opens up in PowerSchool - this form is required before students can start the application. The form is located under the menu on the left ("Specialty Center" star icon). Once the permission form has been submitted, the student will have access to the application within 24 hours after the application opens on October 2nd. The final day to submit this permission form is November 16, 2023 @ 4:00 PM.
September 20th	Information Session - 6:30 PM @ Freeman High School
September 26th	Information Session - 6:30 PM @ Henrico High School
October 2nd	Application will be available online Link to the online application
November 20th	Application deadline for all students, by 11:59 PM.
Week of Dec 4th	Reading, Writing, and Math tests will be completed by applicants this week
January 13th	Entrance exam for the Center for Spanish Language and Global Citizenship, and auditions for the Center for the Arts applicants
February 2nd	Students provided online access to check application status/acceptance @ 4:30 PM - Link to directions
February 16th	Deadline for applicants to declare intent or accept waitlist offers online (by 11:59 PM). Students may accept one center and one waitlist center, or students may accept two waitlist offers if they did not receive an offer.
February 23rd	All students being offered a spot from the waitlist must inform specialty center chair of their intent to accept an offer of admission by 4:30 PM
